The goal of this project was to take an existing story and translate it into a new form. So I chose the song Travelin' Soldier by the Dixie Chicks because of its narrative quality and translated it into an animated music video. I chose red as the primary color because I think it's a very human color, and suited the emotional tone of the story nicely. It's also very versatile, being able to represent both love and violence in different contexts. Below the video is some of my progress, including initial storyboards, selected frames, and some screenshots of me working in Premiere to sync up the animation with the music.
